Midfield enforcer Victor Wanyama has admitted that Tottenham teammate Mousa Dembele would beat him in a wrestling match.
The midfield duo are vital to Spurs due to their ability to win the ball and break-up the oppositions attacks.
They are both highly-regarded for their physical play and while Wanyama has regularly been described as a “beast” since his move to England in 2013 he has conceded that Dembele would overpower him in a wrestling match.
Teammate Kieran Trippier asked the question during a lie detector feature on the club’s official YouTube account to which Wanyama responded “I think Mousa Dembele,” before the detection machine confirmed it as a truth.
Wanyama, 25, has become an immediate star with Spurs since his move from Southampton last summer and has cemented himself in the club’s midfield.
Meanwhile, Dembele, 29, has been in north London for five years and has established himself as a key player in Mauricio Pochettino’s side during that time.
The two have built up a brilliant partnership in the middle of the park and they have ensured that Tottenham are currently battling for the Premier League title with seven matches of the season left.
In other Tottenham news, Spurs are holding a major interest in this 23-year-old who has been left upset by his manager’s comments.
