'Great win', 'What an achievement' - Aston Villa fans rave following 2-0 win for seven in a row
Steve Bruce’s Aston Villa rose to second in the Sky Bet Championship after they defeated local rivals Birmingham City 2-0 this afternoon.
The Villans never looked like losing the game, and the gulf in class from the top to the bottom of the division was evident as the Blues stay in 20th position.
The win sees Bruce’s men overtake Derby County by one point to claim the second spot, behind the high flying Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The win was well received, being Villa’s seventh in a row, and some fans were overjoyed, taking to Twitter to celebrate.
Here are a few of the best reactions:

Undefeated in 11 games, Villa’s promotion hopes now lie in their own hands, as they reside in the second automatic promotion place, on the same amount of games played as those around them.
It is worth noting that Steve Bruce does have some tough fixtures left to play, with three of their next six opponents residing in the top 10 in the Championship.
Villa are looking to get back to the Premier League after they were relegated from it for the first time back in April 2016, following a disastrous season with Tim Sherwood and Remi Garde in charge.
In other Aston Villa news, some fans took to Twitter to rant about the omission of Gabby Agbonlahor.
