Vinnie Jones delivers brilliant response to image of Piers Morgan in a Tottenham shirt

By Harvey Byrne

Vinnie Jones has brilliantly stated “about time he got gagged” after the image of Piers Morgan wearing a Tottenham shirt with his mouth covered for charity surfaced.

Morgan, 51, is never one to shy away from controversy and is often airing his own views via social media and on his current ITV show Good Morning Britain.

Additionally, he is very vocal about his love for Arsenal and hatred for fierce rivals Spurs.

However, in a kind act towards charity, Morgan vowed that he would wear a Tottenham shirt and silence himself if £50,000 was raised before Friday morning.

The target was met and Morgan was true to his word as former Spurs chairman Lord Sugar shared the image of the journalist in his rivals top, as well as a mouth gag.

Naturally, this provoked many good humoured responses and one came from former football hard man Vinnie Jones, who claimed on his personal Twitter account that it was time he had his mouth covered alongside three laughing emojis.

Hertfordshire-born Jones has no connection to Tottenham and even played for rivals Chelsea.

However, he was clearly keen to mock Morgan, as so many others were also.
