Wenham impressed by 'remarkable' Tottenham teenager who stood up to Bale
Maksim Paskotsi could make a second senior appearance for Tottenham when they face Burnley in the EFL Cup.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Paskotsi, 18, is already a regular for the Estonia national side and made his senior Spurs debut in the qualifying rounds of the Europa Conference League.
He joined the club from Estonian outfit FC Flora last summer and has featured heavily in the youth setup.
Wenham has been blown away by the player’s progress and tipped him for more Tottenham outings after seeing him up against Gareth Bale.
“He came in and instantly made an impression for the Under 18s,” Wenham told Football Insider’s Ben Wild.

“He scored five goals in a very short space of time as a centre back, three of which were volleys.
“We are talking about a very technical player and he got a call up to the Estonia national side last season due to a COVID outbreak.
“Remarkably, he has kept his place in that setup and he is on six caps as an 18-year-old.
“People may not think much of Estonia but they have had some decent results. They beat Finland and Belarus and they came away from Wales with a very creditable draw.
“He was up against Bale on the night and did really well. Credit to our scouting department for going and there and finding him.
“He’s one I’m really excited about. He looks a real future prospect. He’s made his first-team debut in the Conference League qualifying games.
“The progress is looking really promising and I think he could be given a chance to impress against Burnley in the Carabao Cup.”
