Wenham: Skipp's been 'demanding the ball from Kane and Son in Totenham training' - he's going to the top
It won’t be long before Tottenham star Oliver Skipp pushes Kalvin Phillips out of the England squad.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Skipp, 21, is currently away with the England Under 21s and was sent to face the media after throwing away a two-goal lead against Slovenia.
As quoted by the Evening Standard, Skipp demanded a reaction from his more senior teammates.
The midfielder has established himself as a first-team player for Tottenham this season.
Wenham insists it won’t be long before Skipp is called up to the senior England squad at the expense of Phillips.

“He showed excellent leadership skills,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I’ve spoken about this before. There were reports of how he grew up while on loan at Norwich last season.
“He has also grown up over the summer and taken the leadership into training.
“He was demanding the ball from the senior players like Kane and Son, he’s no longer this academy kid.
“Skipp was right in there with Kane and Son. I don’t think it’s too long before he’s in the England squad. I think that will happen very soon.
“I rate him very, very highly. I don’t think it will be long before he’s pushing Kalvin Phillips out of the England side.”
Phillips dominated during England’s run to the Euro 2020 final.
Skipp has appeared in all of Tottenham’s Premier League games this season.
