David Moyes does not want West Ham to cash in on Grady Diangana this summer, Football Insider can reveal.
The winger, 22, has been strongly linked with a host of leading clubs this week, including Rangers, Celtic and his loan club West Brom.
A West Ham source has told Football Insider that Moyes rates Diangana highly, wants to keep him at the club and has a major role for him planned for next season.
The Scot, who is well placed to lead the Hammers to Premier League survival, believes the wide forward is good enough to shine in the top flight and not just the Championship.
This comes after Diangana’s impressive campaign at West Brom, where he has produced some electrifying performances.
The Glasgow Times claim Rangers and Celtic have joined the Championship promotion chasers in the race to prise Diangana from the London Stadium by making contact with the player’s camp.
It is stated that the attacker would be keen on another loan, or possibly a permanent transfer, if he cannot force his way into the West Ham side.
However, Moyes is delighted by Diangana’s progress and plans a major role for him next season.
The Hammers opted not to trigger a recall clause in his West Brom loan deal in January despite their own troubles.
The Irons academy product has scored seven goals and supplied six assists in 28 Championship matches this season.
Two hamstring injuries curbed his progress before the lockdown but he has bounced back to be a central figure in Slaven Bilic’s side since the restart.
