West Ham United fans have taken to social media to express their disappointment towards attacking midfielder Manuel Lanzini for his display against Watford on Sunday afternoon.
The 24-year-old failed to impose his quality on the match throughout the 90 minutes as the Hornets strolled to a comfortable 2-0 victory at Vicarage Road.
Watford summer signings Will Hughes and Richarlison notched up the goals for the Hornets as West Ham failed to respond following the sacking of Slaven Bilic.
The visitors came closest to scoring during the latter stages of the first-half when Watford goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes made three stunning saves from Cheikhou Kouyate and Marko Arnautovic.
The West Ham supporters decided to deliver their verdict on the match on social media and the majority of them were far from happy with Lanzini’s display.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

#WHUFC are just weak. Front to back. Lanzini has gone from magic to mud. Doesn’t track back. Gives the ball away cheaply. There’s no effort. No heart.

The Argentina international has struggled for game time at the start of the season due to injury, which has appeared to affect his recent performances.
Lanzini has only managed to feature in seven matches this season, contributing with one goal and two assists in all competitions.
The Hammers will look to bounce back when they host Leicester City in the Premier League next Friday.
