West Ham 'favourites' to sign 'perfect' Eddie Nketiah after development - pundit
Eddie Nketiah could be the ideal striker signing for West Ham this summer.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the striker’s future.
The 22-year-old is out of contract this summer but, as per the Daily Mail’s report, the Gunners are set for a new round of talks with his representatives.
Nketiah has been given more game time in the second half of the season following Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s move to Barcelona.
After scoring twice against Leeds on Saturday (7 May) Kenny claims Nketiah could be an ideal summer signing for the Hammers.

“West Ham have needed a backup striker since January,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I think it has cost them in the end because Antonio has dried up and his fitness is always in question anyway.
“If they have the opportunity to sign Nketiah on a free, well, he’s already in London. I imagine they are favourites.
“West Ham is a massive club as well, with a massive fan base. Any player would be lucky to go there.
“For me, it’s a great signing and it would be a brilliant piece of business if he comes on a free.
“I think he’s perfect for what they are looking for.”
Nketiah has made 89 appearances for Arsenal, scoring 22 goals.
He also spent time on loan at Leeds United but failed to impress Marcelo Bielsa and was recalled from his loan early.
