West Ham tipped to make 'big money' on Rice amid major reveal - Campbell

Kevin Campbell has tipped West Ham to cash in on Declan Rice this summer.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Everton and Arsenal striker claimed the Hammers are a “selling club” and this is the best time to offload Rice.

Football Insider exclusively revealed on 22 July that West Ham are preparing to offer the 22-year-old a blockbuster new contract.

He has already knocked back two previous offers with his current deal set to expire in the summer of 2024.

Rice is the subject of strong interest from Chelsea while Manchester United also have him on their radar.

“West Ham can get big money, they know they can get big money,” Campbell told Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs.

This is all part and parcel of being at West Ham at times. They are a big club but unfortunately, they are a selling club and they have to cut their cloth accordingly.

“Declan Rice, they’ve taken him from Chelsea, brought him in and look how they’ve developed him. He’s a starter for England so it’s a fantastic job done by everyone at the football club.

“But there is that next level and he wants to go to the next level and they can cash in on that.”

Rice moved to the Hammers as a 14-year-old after being released by Chelsea.

He has now played 145 games across all competitions for the Irons and started all of England’s games at the European Championship as they reached the final this summer.

In other news, West Ham have been slammed for treating a star like an “18-year-old’ after a Sky update.
