West Ham to strike £70m Mateus Fernandes agreement with PSG, announcement imminent
West Ham United midfielder Mateus Fernandes is expected to move to French champions PSG, according to Keith Wyness.
The former Everton chief executive, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, believes a deal could be announced early into the summer transfer window.
Premier League clubs are also interested in signing Fernandes, who has been a standout performer for West Ham this season.
The 21-year-old could not help the Hammers avoid relegation to the Championship, which is expected to accelerate his departure from the club.
West Ham need to sell players this summer to improve their financial situation and lower their wage bill ahead of dropping into the second tier for the first time since the 2011-12 season.

Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes West Ham could earn up to £70million from the sale of Fernandes.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, Wyness states that a deal for the Portugal international to join PSG is “being done” right now.

He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “With an auction, it could get as high as £70m.
“So that’s where I think the market’s going to be. PSG is going to be very attractive for Fernandes, but he may well stay in the Premier League, and it’s who’s going to step up and pay that amount.
“But I expect to see that deal [with PSG] being done as we’re speaking right now behind the scenes and announced pretty quickly in the window.”
West Ham star making enquiries over quick exit
Another player who could make a quick exit from West Ham is striker Taty Castellanos, who only moved to the Hammers in the January transfer window.
West Ham spent around £25m to bring Castellanos to London from Lazio, and they may have to make a loss on that investment.
Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Castellanos’ agent will be speaking to Premier League clubs over possible moves this summer.
The 27-year-old has no desire to play in the Championship after scoring six goals in 17 Premier League starts in the second half of the season.
