Abdul Fatawu is open to the idea of joining West Ham United this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

The Leicester City winger is not "put off" by the Hammers' relegation to the Championship, and is still "keen" to move to the London Stadium this summer.

The Ghana international's departure from the King Power Stadium is seen as inevitable this summer, with several clubs already queuing up for his signature.

West Ham have already made an approach for the 22-year-old, but are also having to contend with significant interest from across Europe.

The wideman is pushing to play at the highest level possible, but is content with another year of Championship football if that becomes his most likely move.

Fatawu notched 16 league goal involvements during Leicester's relegation season last term, and West Ham are eyeing a move for him as part of an effort to revamp their squad.

West Ham to have cash to burn after huge sale

West Ham are fighting to keep several of their most talented stars in the early stages of the summer, but their efforts have been futile when it comes to Mateus Fernandes.

The Hammers have now agreed on an £85million fee with Tottenham, which is set to see the Portuguese make the switch across London imminently.

Nuno Espirito Santo and Co. will be disappointed to lose the 21-year-old, but the money raised from his sale could have a transformative effect on their capability in the summer market.

With £85m set to come into their coffers, West Ham would have ample resources to go and make a move for Fatawu.

Leicester are valuing the youngster at the £20m mark, and have already identified him as a sale candidate to raise funds after their relegation to League One.

Callum Wilson backed to agree extension and be West Ham 'superstar' - Keith Wyness

Callum Wilson backed to agree West Ham extension

Former Everton chief executive Keith Wyness told Football Insider on Tuesday that Callum Wilson's agent should be trying to convince him to pen a new deal at West Ham.

The Hammers have reportedly made an attempt to keep the veteran striker, who is now a free agent, but are waiting on a response from his camp.

Wilson is also now in talks over a potential move to Brentford, but Wyness feels he could become a hero at West Ham if he stayed.

Wyness believes that Wilson would fire the Hammers straight back up to the Premier League, whilst writing his name in club folklore in the process.
