Wolverhampton Wanderers fans are furious after it was revealed that Ladislav Krejci has been offered to West Ham United in the final days of the transfer window.

As deadline day has edged ever closer, it has become increasingly likely that the 27-year-old defender will leave the club this summer.

The Czechia international has only featured in one match for Wolves so far this season, coming on in the final minutes of a 3-0 victory over Port Vale in the Carabao Cup.

Instead, Cesar Peixoto has opted to play Toti Gomes and Nasser Djiga in recent Championship matches, who have proved to be a solid partnership.

However, when reports emerged that the Old Gold club have offered Krejci to West Ham, fans were in shock.

The Hammers are seen as one of the club’s biggest promotion rivals this season after they were both relegated from the Premier League.

Wolves fans demand that Ladislav Krejci is not sold to West Ham

The West Ham Way’s report has not gone down well with the Molineux faithful.

Many Wolves supporters have been hoping that Krejci stays at the club past the summer transfer window to help them seal an immediate return to the Premier League.

However, fans also understand this would be a difficult task given the player’s quality and reputation.

Nevertheless, one thing the supporters will clearly not accept is selling the defender to West Ham, who have now held talks with Krejci.

Upon reading this update, fans were livid and were quick to blast the potential transfer on X.

Can Wolves survive without Krejci?

Wolves have proven in their opening three matches in the Championship this season that they can win without Krejci.

While no clean sheets have been kept in this time, against both Preston North End and Stoke City, the Old Gold side were in complete control throughout most of the game.

However, Krejci is arguably Wolves’ best player, and selling to West Ham would no doubt affect their chance of getting promotion this season.

Therefore, while selling the defender may not directly affect Wolves’ results, it would no doubt affect the Hammers, would could have a costly impact on the Championship table come the end of the season.
