Whelan blasts Ajeti after embarrassing Celtic stat revealed
Noel Whelan claims Albian Ajeti should have dominated against Livingston as Celtic fell to another league defeat this weekend.
The former Aberdeen forward, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, reacted to the forward’s stats from the game.
According to WhoScored, Ajeti only touched the ball 16 times against Livingston.
This is the fewest of any Celtic player including goalkeeper Joe Hart and the substitutes.
Ajeti had been recalled to the starting 11 after Kyogo Furuhashi picked up an injury on international duty.
He scored twice against Ross County in the league before opening the scoring against Real Betis in the Europa League last week.

Whelan claims Celtic and Ajeti were suffering from European hangover and told Ange POstecoglou to fix this problem quickly.
“No disrespect to Livingston but you should be dominating those games,” Whelan told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.
“You should be getting touches, showing for the ball and laying it off. I know he had one chance but it was well saved.
“Again, on another day you could take five touches and score two goals. No one is worried about the amount of touches you have.
“The whole Celtic side were not at the races. Livingston defended really well and scored a well-taken goal.
“You thought the goal would kick Celtic into the next gear, it seemed like they had a hangover from the European game in the week.
“That lack of sharpness can occur when you play a lot of games in Europe and domestically.
“It’s something that needs to be fixed.”
