Wolves fans are about to have massive PL reality check with Mendes client reportedly set to quit
Welcome to the ugly side of Jorge Mendes’ relationship with Fosun, Wolves fans.
Lisbon-based journalist Marcus Alves reported on his personal Twitter account on Tuesday that Molineux crowd-pleaser Ruben Neves is due to quit Wanderers over the summer and join Champions League semi-finalists Liverpool.

Wolves fans appear to think that they have been promised the world by Mendes and that he will be convincing a glut of big-name players to Molineux as long as his relationship with Chinese investors Fosun continues.
While there has been a lot of debate about the legality of Wolves and Mendes’ relationship – most of it out of sheer jealousy and thoughts of ‘why didn’t we do that?’ – the Portuguese super-agent clearly does not have the club’s needs close to his heart and fans are going witness a rollercoaster of emotions over the summer.
Mendes is using Wolves as a stepping stone.

Wanderers will only ever see quality talent in brief glimpses and there’s absolutely no way that Mendes client Neves wants to spend another year in the West Midlands when he could get into Champions League teams across Europe – no matter how much he claims to “love” being in WV1.
Nuno Esprito Santo may be another one to jump ship if a half-decent team comes calling and what fans will witness is a merry-go-round of players and managers brought in from Portugal or Spain, have one decent year and then sold.
Promotion to the Premier League is a great and well-deserved feat, but Wolves fans are about to have a massive reality check once they leave the Championship behind.
