'God', 'Europe next year' - Wolves fans react to Twitter message from Ruben Neves

Wolverhampton Wanderers went to within one point of confirming the Championship title on Sunday with a 2-0 win away at rivals Birmingham City.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side had already been promoted after Fulham drew with Brentford on Saturday despite having to win all of their remaining fixtures to stand any chance of catching the table-toppers, handing Wolves their place in the top-flight.

And after the victory against the Blues on Sunday, Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves, who has starred in the centre of the park since his arrival at Molineux from FC Porto last summer took to Twitter to express his delight.

The 21-year-old wrote a simple three-word verdict on his social media feed, “What a feeling.”

This led to a host of replies from supporters of the club and further afield.

There were fans from other teams wanting the 21-year-old to switch to their club whilst fans of Wolves themselves were desperate to see that the Portuguese ace remained with the West Midlands outfit for years to come.

Rumours of a transfer to Manchester United in the summer have been batted about but with his contract due to run through to 2022, it’s highly unlikely the powers that be at Molineux will allow Neves to leave – unless a showstopping fee comes in for the maestro.

Here is a selection of Twitter reactions from Wolves fans to Neves after his Tweet:
