Wolverhampton Wanderers are being linked with a summer swoop of Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala but supporters are mainly unimpressed by the news.
The Sun has reported that the former French international, now 27, is out of Pep Guardiola’s plans and the champions are happy to let him go at the end of the season.
Mangala made a temporary loan move to Everton in January in a bid to resurrect his career but it didn’t work out for him as he sustained a knee injury against Crystal Palace in his second game for the Blues.
That ended his season – one in which he has made a total of 17 appearances across all competitions.
But Wolves fans aren’t happy with the potential signing of the crocked Premier League winner and were by and large uninspired by the gossip, particularly given Mangala’s performance against the Molineux outfit in the League Cup back in October – which City shaded on penalties.
One supporter said on Twitter that he was “crap,” and another said that he was “overrated.”

But with the 27-year-old a client of Jorge Mendes, supporters are unlikely to have much of a say on any deal for the Frenchman and his reported £65,000-a-week wages.
Here is a selection of Wolves fans reactions to the news their club is being linked with Mangala:

Thanks, but no thanks. Wolves do have already, very good quality defenders in @Kortney_30, for use in the Premier League so, please send Mr. Mangala to another club. We are good! #wwfc
