Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo looks on

By Danny Wright

Paul Gladon has re-joined Heracles on a season-long loan deal after only signing for Wolves in the summer of 2016 – and fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts.

The 25-year-old, who was snapped up from the Dutch Eredivise outfit last August, only managed to make three first-team appearances in his debut year at Molineux.

Wolves announced the news in a post on their official Twitter account on Thursday.

However, supporters of the Black Country outfit don’t seem to mind seeing the striker leave the club, after what was a very dismal start to life in England which failed to see him turn out on a winning side.

Although one fan decided to joke that Gladon was the “best striker at the club”.

Here is a selection of their tweets:

Gladon enjoyed a blistering start to the 2016/17 campaign with Heracles before switching to Wolves, which ultimately halted his forward momentum.

He netted three times in the opening five matches of the season in the Netherlands – with one of them coming in a Europa League stalemate with Portuguese outfit Arouca.

In total, Gladon made 31 appearances and scored nine goals across all competitions in just over one season with Heracles, who finished tenth in the Eredivise last season – well clear of the relegation places they were expected to battle to avoid.

In other Wolves news, this 22-year-old has signed after Wanderers agreed terms.
