Jackson Tchatchoua must never play for Wolves again after horrific stats emerge

Jackson Tchatchoua had one of the worst games of his career on Sunday as the right-back netted a horrific own goal in Wolverhampton Wanderers’ 2-2 draw against Birmingham City.

The 24-year-old has been routinely criticised by the Molineux faithful since his move to the club last summer.

However, against Birmingham, he made his worst mistake yet, as he comically kicked the ball into his own net as he attempted to pass the ball back to Jose Sa.

While this incident will be the main point of criticism for many fans, even when disregarding the own goal, the defender was terrible.

This is shown in his stats, with Tchatchoua making little to no positive impact on the pitch.

Now, the game against Birmingham has to be his last for Wolves, and the club must find him a new club before the rest of the foreign transfer window closes.

How bad was Jackson Tchatchoua vs Birmingham City?

Tchatchoua did little right against Birmingham.

Tasked with creating opportunities down the right, alongside keeping his flank looked down defensively, the Cameroon international failed to do either.

According to Fotmob on 7 September, Tchatchoua created zero chances, just a 0.02 xA, completed 64 per cent of his passes, failed to complete any of his four attempted crosses, completed zero out of five of his attempted long balls, and he did not win a single ground or aerial duel.

Now, after failing to impress in any of Wolves’ previous matches this season, the right-back’s time at Molineux simply has to come to an end.

Tchatchoua’s presence on the pitch is clearly costing the club points, and they should look to sell him as soon as possible.

Who could replace Tchatchoua?

Given that Tchatchoua is currently only in the starting XI due to Kieran Trippier’s injury, Wolves would only have to play a handful of matches until their main right-back is back to full fitness.

Therefore, Cesar Peixoto should look to recall Pedro Lima back to the starting XI for the Sheffield United match.

The right-back has only made two appearances this season, but has proved to be solid when he has played.

The 20-year-old also has plenty of potential and could be a big player for Wolves in the future.

Therefore, it should be an easy decision to place Lima back into the line-up until Trippier is fully fit after the international break.
