Wolverhampton Wanderers fans are in disarray after it was confirmed that Kieran Trippier has picked up an injury.

The right-back is set to miss the next four to six weeks after he picked up an issue with his knee.

As a result, the former England international could miss as many as eight matches, including the upcoming Black Country derby.

On top of this, Yerson Mosquera is also expected to be out of action for around the same period after he picked up an ankle injury.

This is no doubt a horrific blow for Wolves and Cesar Peixoto, which comes less than a week after their disappointing opening-day draw to Blackburn Rovers.

As a result, many Wolves fans are now in meltdown as yet another new signing falls to the sidelines.

Kieran Trippier picks up injury for Wolves

Wolves fans are already heavily dissatisfied with their dealings in the summer transfer window.

Only four new faces have come into the club despite overseeing their worst points tally in their 150-year history last season.

The lack of depth and quality was on full show on Friday as Wolves were forced to scrap a draw against Blackburn Rovers thanks to a late controversial penalty.

However, after Wolves confirmed that Trippier and Mosquera are set to join Rafiki Said, Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and Sam Johnston on the sidelines, fans have gone into panic mode.

Are more signings on the way at Wolves?

One silver lining at Wolves this week has been the addition of Jordan James, who officially signed on loan with the option to buy on Wednesday.

The midfielder was excellent at Leicester City last season, and will add much-needed quality to the centre of the park.

On top of the Wales international, reports suggest that Wolves are also looking to sign Amario Cozier-Duberry.

The Brighton and Hove Albion winger had a wonderful loan spell at Bolton Wanderers last season, where he helped the club win promotion to the Championship.

However, multiple sides are chasing the youngster, including Rangers as they look to reinforce their frontline.

Nevertheless, it remains to be seen who Wolves bring through the door, with the end of the transfer window edging closer as each day passes.
