Wolves fans say the same thing about Tolu Arokodare after incident at Compton Park

Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have labelled Tolu Arokodare the worst signing in their history after the striker caused training to be cancelled on Monday.

The 25-year-old striker reportedly refused to leave the pitch when asked not to train with the squad.

As a result, Cesar Peixoto cancelled the training session, with extra security brought in on Tuesday to ensure that he did not arrive at Compton Park.

Upon this news being reported, many Wolves fans were furious, with the striker causing nothing but problems since his arrival.

Previously, Arokodare was involved in a physical altercation with youngster Mateus Mane after the 4-0 defeat to West Ham United, where the Nigeria international was the sole aggressor.

The attacker moved to Molineux last summer for £23.4million, and has been strongly linked with a move away in recent months.

Arokodare was one of Wolves’ worst-performing players last season as they got relegated from the Premier League without a fight.

The striker only netted three Premier League goals in 33 matches and rarely contributed anything on the pitch.

Now, his attitude is causing even more problems for Wolves as they prepare for their return to the Championship.

Nathan Judah reported that Arokodare was asked not to train with the rest of the squad, but refused, which led to Monday’s training session being cancelled.

As a result, many fans took to X enraged, and they continued to advocate for the striker’s sale.

When is Wolves’ first game of the season?

The start of the 2026-27 campaign is not too far away now for Wolves fans as they await a new era at the Old Gold.

Their new season will begin in the Carabao Cup, where they will take on Port Vale in the first round on Friday, 7 August at Molineux.

Following this, they will then play their first Championship game of the season against Blackburn Rovers on Friday, 14 August, which will also take place at Molineux.

However, it remains to be seen if Wolves are capable of putting together a run of form capable of getting the club promoted back to the Premier League, or if they will be stuck in the second tier once again.
