Wolverhampton Wanderers fans were furious when it was revealed that Pedro Lima is now likely to leave the club in the coming weeks.

The right-back is closing in on a loan move away from Molineux, with a move back to Brazil on the cards.

This follows the news that Santiago Bueno is also set to leave Wolves and join Club America on loan, despite the English transfer window being closed.

However, Lima’s potential departure from Wolves have now caused mass backlash from supporters.

Despite the Old Gold side having three right-backs in their squad, Kieran Trippier is currently out injured, and Jackson Tchatchoua is hopelessly out of form after he scored a comical own goal against Birmingham City on the weekend.

Therefore, many fans had hoped that the 20-year-old would be recalled to the starting XI for the Sheffield United match on Sunday, something that now appears to be unlikely.

Pedro Lima set to go out on loan

Lima has not had many chances at Wolves since signing in 2024.

However, after the club’s recent defensive fragilities, a recall into the starting XI for the right-back had become a popular request by supporters.

When Lima played, he rarely put a foot wrong and started in their 2-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday in the Carabao Cup last month.

Nevertheless, Inside Wolves’ recent report indicates that he is now set to follow Bueno out of the door in the coming weeks.

As a result, Wolves fans are furious, and many have been quick to take to X to protest the decision.

When is Kieran Trippier back from injury?

It was announced on 20 August that Trippier would be out for a few weeks due to an injury to his left MCL.

With it now being three weeks since his announcement took place, it is likely that the former England international is close to returning to full fitness.

The Sheffield United game will likely come too soon for him, but depending on his progress, there appears to be a chance he could be available for the Black Country derby next weekend.

However, given that a three-week international break follows the match, the manager may deem it better to not risk it and wait until October when the right-back is likely to be fully fit.
