Wolverhampton Wanderers fans were appalled to hear that their new signing Rafiki Said had picked up an MCL injury and will be out of action for at least two months.

The winger is the most recent addition at Molineux this summer, after he arrived for a £7.7million fee from Standard Liege.

However, after featuring for just 20 minutes against Maidenhead last week, he was withdrawn.

Wolves have since confirmed the long-term nature of his injury, with the attacker now set to miss the start of the upcoming campaign.

As a result, many fans are furious. Supporters were already divided on the signing, given his poor recent numbers, and now many feel that the club has wasted more money.

The Old Gold outfit are aiming to return to the Premier League this season, but this task has just got a little bit harder for Cesar Peixoto.

Wolves fans furious that Rafiki Said is out for at least two months

So far this summer, Wolves fans have been unimpressed with the lack of transfer activity.

Despite finishing their last campaign bottom of the Premier League, only three new faces have come through the door to date, with Said being the only player who arrived for a transfer fee.

Therefore, when it was revealed by Wolves that their new signing was going to be out of action for months, fans were appalled.

Many took to X to express their anger, with one even comparing Said to Razak Boukari, the winger who famously signed for the club back in 2012 with a big reputation, only to make six appearances for the Wolves in four years due to injuries.
