Darren Bent urged Leeds United to make a no-brainer decision and swoop for Liverpool attacker Rhian Brewster.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Laura O’Leary, the former England striker claimed Leeds would be the perfect club for the young Reds forward to join.
Football Insider previously revealed that Jurgen Klopp was open to loan offers for Brewster in January with the likes of Leeds, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace keen on his services.
Bent explained that Brewster could do a good job for the Whites and get the games he needed.
The ex-England international then added that if the 19-year-old ended up doing well at Elland Road then Marcelo Bielsa’s side might sign him on a permanent basis.
When asked if Brewster would be a simple deal for Leeds to conclude, Bent told Football Insider: “Yeah most definitely.
“He needs to get games, he is a quality centre-forward, good on the ball so would be a good signing.
“It’s a no-brainer if they’re willing to let him go out on loan and Leeds would be perfect for him with them near the top of the Championship.
“He’ll go in there, play, help them get promoted, and if he does help them get promoted who knows next season he may end up getting a permanent move to Leeds and that could really kickstart his Premier League career.”
Brewster made his first-team debut for the Reds this season with him featuring in both of their EFL Cup outings so far.
The teenager is yet to score his first senior goal for the club but has been in red-hot form for the U-23s this season with him scoring five goals in his nine outings.
In other Leeds United news, it can be REVEALED that there has been a huge Jack Clarke transfer development.
