Yannick Bolasie hits back after making comments about Lukaku's future at Everton
By Amir Mir
Yannick Bolasie has hit back at his critics by stating “a few” have chosen not to acknowledge the positive comments he made about Everton ace Romelu Lukaku.
The 28-year-old gave an interview to Sky Sports on Wednesday where he stated that the club could not stand in Lukaku’s way if he wanted to leave.
However, Bolasie also stated that Everton are “going to find a way to deal” with the current situation surrounding the Belgium striker’s future.
His comments drew criticism from fellow supporters who felt that he should have kept quiet when talking about his teammate.
Winger Bolasie, who is currently out injured, felt some didn’t focus on the positive comments he made about Lukaku and his future at the club.

“This is the important part of what I said,” Bolasie wrote on his personal Twitter account. “Shame a few have chosen not to acknowledge this. All positive.”

Lukaku is currently the top goalscorer in the Premier League with 21 goals to his name. He recently refused to sign a new contract at Goodison Park which has seen his future come under serious question.
Over the course of the season, Lukaku has been a key figure for the club as Ronald Koeman is hoping to secure a Europa Leauge place with the Merseyside club this season.
At this moment in time, the Toffees are sitting seventh in the Premier League table on 50 points from their 29 matches.
They take on their neighbours Liverpool on Saturday afternoon at Anfield, knowing three points will close the six-point gap on the fourth-placed side.
Lukaku has scored five goals in his last four league matches, including netting a brace against Hull prior to the international break.
