Tottenham fans have taken to social media to slaughter the performance of goalkeeper Michel Vorm after his performance in the FA Cup semi final defeat against Manchester United on Saturday.
The Lilywhites welcomed the Red Devils to a neutral Wembley, despite having adopted the national stadium as their home ground for the season, and made the brighter start, Dele Alli scoring from Christian Eriksen’s fizzed cross after just 11 minutes.
However, despite Spurs’ early domination, Jose Mourinho’s men fought back into the tie and had equalised 13 minutes later, Alexis Sanchez heading home from Paul Pogba’s dinked cross into the box.
As the match evened out, neither side were able to exert much dominance – but it was the north west side who struck next, Ander Herrera latching on to a ball bouncing across the edge of the box and drilling a shot past Vorm in goal.
The Dutch stopper, who was entrusted to keep his place as the club’s cup goalkeeper after appearing in every other stage of the competition, bore much of the brunt from the club’s faithful on Twitter, many suggesting that first choice shot stopper Hugo Lloris would have done better with the Spaniard’s strike.
Here, Football Insider has rounded up a selection of the supporters’ best tweets:

Sorry but picking vorm just shows you don’t care.

Arguably Vorm did see it late. But I just feel Lloris would’ve reacted better.
