Youssef Chermiti moves into elite Rangers company after heroics vs Falkirk, he cannot be sold
Youssef Chermiti stole the show for Rangers as he scored a hat-trick in their 5-2 win over Falkirk to end their campaign on Saturday.
The Portuguese netted twice in the opening six minutes to set his team on their way, before completing his treble just two minutes after the half-time interval.
The 21-year-old also added an assist to end the Scottish Premiership season with 15 goals and five assists to his name from just 30 appearances in the league.
Danny Rohl’s side have seen their efforts of the last few months fade away in recent weeks, but Chermiti has remained a bright spark within their group for large spells.
Chermiti’s hat-trick for Rangers on Saturday was his second of the 2025-26 season, and has moved him onto a pedestal alongside some genuine Gers heroes.

Chermiti faced his fair share of criticism at Rangers in the first half of the season, but he has since outlined himself as their biggest goal threat by far.
The youngster was an expensive addition at Ibrox for £10million last summer, and he has begun to show signs of living up to that expense.

Chermiti has regularly produced big moments in the crucial games, and his hat-trick on Saturday has moved him alongside some elite company in terms of Rangers strikers from years gone by.
According to Scotland’s coefficient via their X account, the frontman has become the first player to score two Premiership hat-tricks in the same season since Lawrence Shankland back in 2022-23.
He has also become just the fourth Rangers player to achieve that feat since the turn of the century, with Kris Boyd, Kenny Miller and Jermain Defoe the others in his company.
Chermiti’s latest feat has further emphasised the idea that he simply cannot be sold this summer, amid suggestions in recent months that the club could look to cash in on him if an offer comes their way.
He will only continue to get better as he adjusts to the level of the Scottish top flight, and he has the potential to make Rangers an eye-watering amount of money in a few years.
Rangers will consider Chermiti sale on one condition
Football Insider revealed at the start of April that Rangers will only sell Chermiti if the chance presents itself to net a “big profit” on him this summer.
Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven have the youngster as a player on their radar to strengthen their frontline ahead of next season, although their interest is yet to progress beyond the initial stages.
Nevertheless, Rohl and Co. are prepared to stand in the way of an exit for Chermiti this summer, unless an offer comes in that would be too good for them to refuse.
The Ibrox outfit are keen to make smarter decisions regarding player trading in the coming years, but they must also consider the effect that certain sales would have on their group.
Selling Chermiti at this stage of their project would likely come to the detriment of their team, regardless of how much money it brought in.
