Yves Bissouma: Pundit in awe of Tottenham after 'brilliant' confirmed news

Tottenham have sealed an “absolute bargain” after announcing the signing of Yves Bissouma.

That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Spurs’ latest signing.

On Friday (17 June) Tottenham confirmed Bissouma as their latest signing.

The 25-year-old becomes the club’s third signing of the summer following the arrivals of Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster.

As per The Guardian (14 June), Spurs have paid £22.5million for his services.

Kenny has been left impressed with the club’s business so far this summer and admits he will be keeping a keen eye on Antonio Conte’s men during the 2022-23 season.

“£22.5million is an absolute bargain when you see some of the money being thrown around today,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“That’s brilliant business from Tottenham, everything they have sone this summer has been really, really good.

It is good to see them doing this business early in the window.

“It’s another benefit to them finishing in the Champions League places last season. They have that extra money that lets them do this.

“They also have that pull of the Champions League. I’m rooting for Tottenham next season.

“I like what they are doing and I really like the manager.”

Bissouma made 28 appearances for Brighton across all competitions during the 2021-22 season.

He missed three games through suspension and also competed for his country during the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations.
