29-year-old with 49 in 99 for his country makes top five worst West Ham signings since 2017

3. Jordan Hugill

Here’s another player signed with great potential and yet the mismanagement at the club to hand the former Preston North End forward just 22 minutes of action since his move from the Championship in January 2018 is astounding.

A reported £10m capture at a time when the Hammers were struggling with a host of injuries would lead you to think that after notching up ten goals for North End, the 25-year-old would be given an opportunity to continue his form from where he left off – but that hasn’t been the case.

Ten minutes against Brighton was followed up with two minutes of action against Watford and another ten minutes against Southampton.

You have to wonder who it is signing these players and what is the point? It doesn’t look as though Moyes is getting much of a say.
