24-year-old shines: Three Rangers fringe players that deserve first-team chance after win v Watford – view
Martyn Waghorn
Rangers fans grew tired of Waghorn’s performances towards the end of last season, as he managed just seven goals in 32 Scottish Premiership encounters.
However, his low strike inside the penalty area will give fans hope that he is back to the kind of form that saw him plunder 28 goals in just 36 games during the 2015-16 season.
If Waghorn can rediscover that form, he will push aside new signings Alfredo Morelos and Herrera and reignite his Gers career as their first-choice striker.
