Celtic player ratings v Zenit: Senior player 3/10 in nightmare EL display

MIDFIELD

James Forrest – 7: Celtic’s most dangerous player on the night, caused Zenit most of the problems that they had to deal with, it was a big surprise when he was replaced in the second-half by Charly Musonda
Scott Brown – 5: Another disappointing away performance in Europe, it’s said when he plays Celtic play – well he didn’t play well in this game and the inevitable hammering occurred
Kieran Tierney – 5: Kept going all game as he usually does but didn’t get much change out of the Zent defence, another of the few who didn’t let the side down on the night
Olivier Ntcham – 5: Was quiet compared to the first leg, got more of the ball after Zenit went 3-0 ahead but was unable to create any real attacks for the Hoops
Eboue Kouassi – 5: Couldn’t get to grips in midfield like he did last week, was booked in the first-half was having a poor game and it wasn’t a surprise that he was replaced at half-time by Tom Rogic
Callum McGregor – 5: Nowhere near as effective as he was in the first leg, struggled to gain a foothold in the game and was eventually replaced just after the hour mark bu Scott Sinclair.
