A shareholder asked King about the decision to sell Barrie McKay to Nottingham Forest for only £500,000 earlier in the year. The chairman admitted that the decision was “bad management” to sell him for that price and that he has since spoken with Mark Allen to ensure that players are not sold below market value in the future.
The 22-year-old left the club in July following a falling out with Pedro Caixinha, who the former Gers player has since admitted mistreated him at the club.
The winger has been impressing at Nottingham Forest this season, having scored four times in his 18 Championship appearances.
