When commenting on the highlights of the year, King revealed he was particularly happy with the improvement of the academy at the club. The South African businessman said the club now had a “strong pipeline” of young talent coming through that had a “realistic” chance of breaking into the first-team.
The businessman also referred to the fact that 28 academy players had gained international recognition in their respective age categories, which is much higher than previous years.
