’49ers to strike Tottenham deal for Manor Solomon after Leeds United title stunner’
Manor Solomon’s move to Leeds United being made permanent could be 49ers Enterprises’ first port of call this summer.
The Tottenham loanee has recorded 10 goals and 13 assists in 41 appearances across all competitions, making an incredible impact since joining the Whites last summer.
While Daniel Farke’s future as Leeds boss has been up in the air recently, the doubters seem to be much quieter following his side’s dramatic 2-1 win over Plymouth Argyle on Saturday, 3 May.
Solomon certainly played an important role in proceedings, with Willy Gnonto scoring an equaliser at Home Park before the Israeli international netted a dramatic added-time winner to send the away section berserk.
Manor Solomon impresses ahead of Leeds United deal
Attention must quickly turn to this year’s summer transfer market, given that multiple of Leeds’ players are not good enough for Premier League football, even despite earning 100 points this term.
Ao Tanaka has already been tipped to leave Leeds, with Pascal Struijk, Patrick Bamford, Junior Firpo, and Illan Meslier all expected to walk through the exit doors now that the season is over.
One player who fans want to keep around for the foreseeable future, however, is Solomon. Despite some inconsistent performances at times, he has popped up with the ultimate vital goal away from Elland Road.

Daniel Farke needs financial backing for Premier League survival
If Farke is to avoid being sacked at Leeds halfway through next season, and repeating similar campaigns with Norwich City in the top flight, the owners must put their money where their mouth is.
Leeds have put plans in place to spend £200million on the redevelopment of Elland Road, and if that is possible in the next few years, giving the manager a blank chequebook should also be this summer.

The manager’s record in the Premier League is, understandably, a cause for concern, having only ever won six of his 49 matches in charge, but he absolutely deserves a chance to prove himself.
He will not be able to do that, however, unless 49ers back their manager during the summer, and that should start with the permanent signing of Solomon from Spurs, who have not yet utilised him.
