Kenedy was a top target for Newcastle over the summer transfer window but he stayed with Chelsea, where he was very much on the fringes with the Blues.
That all changed in January when the Magpies returned for the Brazilian winger and managed to prise him away for the rest of the campaign – and what an impact he made on Tyneside.
He brought a directness and electricity to the attack which had been lacking in the first half of the season, and it was no coincidence that his introduction to the side resulted in improved results.
Newcastle fans would love to see him back at the club – and there will be those wondering just where the Magpies could have finished if they had signed him in summer.
