Sources: Arsenal set sights on signing Rangers sensation Mason Munn

Arsenal are among a number of Premier League clubs tracking Rangers goalkeeper Mason Munn after luring their top talent spotter, sources have told Football Insider.

The 17-year-old is earning rave reviews after excellent outings for the Gers’ B team this season, which has put him on the radar of several English clubs.

The Gunners have made regular checks on the Northern Irish sensation as Rangers’ B team have played against English clubs multiple times this season.

Rangers beat a host of Premier League clubs to secure Munn’s signature in the summer of 2022 from Northern Irish outfit Glentoran.

Now, top-flight sides have reemerged with interest in the six-foot-two shot-stopper.

Rangers scout Phil Cowen contacted Munn to bring him over to Glasgow last year, but as revealed by Football Insider (20 October), he has quit the Ibrox side and agreed a deal to join Arsenal.

Cowen has accepted the role as the head of the Gunners academy scouting department and has 15 years of experience spotting young talent.

Munn has featured twice for his nation this season with the under-19s in their 3-2 defeat to Italy and their 2-0 loss to Czech Republic.

he has not made a senior appearance for Rangers since his move but started their recent 4-2 defeat to Huddersfield B earlier this month (6 December).
