Aaron Ramsdale: Arsenal star makes decision on quitting as bids readied – Sources

Aaron Ramsdale is keen to leave Arsenal in the summer transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

David Raya joined the Gunners last summer and has moved ahead of the 25-year-old in Mikel Arteta’s pecking order.

Ramsdale is looking to leave as a result as he wants regular first-team football at this stage of his career.

A well-placed source has told Football Insider that multiple Premier League and European clubs are ready to join the race and submit formal bids to Arsenal for the out-of-favour shot-stopper.

Ramsdale has made 10 appearances across all competitions this season, conceding 11 goals and keeping three clean sheets.

Sources say he is frustrated with his situation at the Emirates Stadium after losing his place to Raya.

The England international only signed a new contract in May 2023, keeping him at Arsenal until June 2026.

He made all 38 Premier League games last term as Mikel Arteta’s side ran Man City close for the title.

The 25-year-old cost Arsenal a reported fee of £30million after add-ons in 2021.

Raya joined the Gunners on a loan-to-buy basis last summer (2023) and has become first-choice between the sticks.
