Abdul Fatawu shares hospital video after major Leicester injury blow
Leicester winger Abdul Fatawu has shared a new video from hospital on his social media giving an injury update.
The 20-year-old suffered an injury to his ACL (anterior cruciate ligament), whilst on international duty with Ghana in November [BBC Sport].
He had made a flying start to the season, assisting twice in 11 Premier League appearances, and terrorised Diogo Dalot in a 3-0 loss to Man United before his injury.
The Ghanaian joined the Foxes on-loan from Sporting CP in Portugal, and scored seven and assisted 13 in the Championship last season.
This summer, his loan was made permanent, after the club triggered a buy-option [Leicester City] following their promotion to the Premier League.
Leicester fans looking forward to Fatawu return after surgery
Fans of the Foxes will no doubt be looking forward to seeing the tricky winger return for the club next season.
Despite sacking manager Steve Cooper, results have actually worsened under new boss Ruud van Nistelrooy.
The Dutchman reportedly clashed with a number of players after the 2-0 loss to Fulham (18 January), including on-loan man Facundo Buonanotte.
Leicester bounced back with a win over Tottenham in their next match (26 January), winning 2-1, but the team is still in dire need of the creativity that Fatawu brings.
Posting on his Instagram story, Fatawu shared: “2 months after my surgery. Good progress lately.”

The Foxes will face off against Everton, in a massive relegation clash on 1 February.
Leicester are plotting to re-sign one of Fatawu’s teammates from their Championship title victory in the January transfer window.
In other news, Conor Coady has sent a farewell message after a confirmed January transfer.
