‘Not great’ – Chris Sutton makes Celtic admission after win v Aberdeen
BT Sports pundit Chris Sutton has taken to social media to criticise the way Celtic have been playing recently following their 3-0 victory over Aberdeen.
The win at Celtic Park took the Hoops eight points clear of their nearest challengers in the battle for the Scottish Premiership title.
Sutton, speaking on his personal Twitter account, dmitted that the Bhoys had been “not great as late” but admitted that they were “impressive” against Aberdeen.
The game was a feisty affair with plenty of tough challenges, Aberdeen in particular weren’t afraid to get stuck in.
After Gary Mackay-Steven and Scott Sinclair missed chances to put their teams ahead, Mikael Lustig’s deflected strike put the Hoops ahead in the 40th minute.
Celtic completely dominated the second-half of the game, and Dembele and Sinclair were guilty of missing some great chances, before Jonny Hayes made it 2-0 with his first goal for the Hoops in the 69th minute.
Olivier Ntcham finished the scoring in the 75th minute, taking advantage of a Kenny McLean error to make it 3-0.
The Bhoys are next in action on Boxing Day as they face a trip to Dundee before their final game before the winter break seems them take on old rivals Rangers at Celtic Park on Saturday.
