Agbonlahor can’t believe Jarrod Bowen could agree ‘£70m’ West Ham move after source’s reveal
Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed there is “no way” top clubs will come in for West Ham star Jarrod Bowen in the summer window.
The former Aston Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed sides like Liverpool won’t see “value for money” in signing him for “£60 or £70m” after his below-par 2022-23 season.
Sources told this site on 23 March that West Ham are expecting bids for Bowen, 26, in the summer window.
The England international has been targeted by top clubs in the past, including Liverpool – but no formal bids were lodged.
Bowen, who is under contract at the London Stadium until June 2025, has netted 10 goals in 37 appearances as a regular starter this season.
Just four of those strikes have come in the Premier League, and the tail-off in his form has led to him losing his place in Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions squad.
Agbonlahor told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “Jarrod Bowen is a really good player and I really like him.
“But he’s not been himself this season. There’s no way the top clubs will come in for him when he’s not performing.
“He’s got to knuckle down this season, knuckle down next season, get West Ham where they deserve to be in the table – and then it might be a possibility.

“I don’t feel that there’s any chance of him moving this summer.
“West Ham will want a big fee, £60 or £70m, and I don’t think the big clubs will see that as value for money right now.”
