Agbonlahor claims Graham Potter faces sack countdown at Chelsea after what he’s seen
Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed Graham Potter has “three months to save his job” after a run of recent dismal results at Chelsea.
The former Aston Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted owner Todd Boehly will want to see “goals” and “exciting, attacking football” following his mammoth transfer spend this season.
Chelsea drew 0-0 with Fulham last week (3 February) to pile more pressure on manager Potter.
The Blues sit ninth in the top flight and have won one of their last seven games in all competitions – despite a whopping £600million transfer spend this season.
The 2020 Champions League winners are reportedly eyeing former Barcelona and Spain boss Luis Enrique as a potential replacement for Potter.
Chelsea are in action against West Ham on Saturday (11 February) and will face Dortmund in a two-legged Champions League tie late this month.
Agbonlahor told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “I wouldn’t change it yet.
“I think Potter has half a season to save his job. I can’t see them changing it until then.
“But if Potter can’t put together some wins and get them up the table, and get to the latter stages of the Champions League – they’ll get someone new in the summer.

“Todd Boehly hasn’t spent all this money to draw 0-0 with Fulham. He’ll want attacking, exciting football – plenty of goals.
“If Potter can’t show that in the next three months, then he’ll be out of a job.”
