Agbonlahor: Everton will accept ‘£70m’ Anthony Gordon offer as deal close
Everton could still sell Anthony Gordon for “£70million” next summer if he signs a new contract, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker insisted that Gordon must add goals to his game if he is to reach the new level.
The 21-year-old was the subject of interest from Tottenham, Chelsea and Newcastle United in the summer but Everton stood firm and resisted a number of offers.

The Everton academy graduate played a key role as they avoided relegation last season and was rewarded with the number 10 shirt.
The Telegraph reported earlier this week (19 December) that Gordon is now close to committing his future to Goodison Park with a new contract.
His current agreement is set to expire in the summer of 2025.
“He is a quality player but he just needs to start adding more goals,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“He does very well at taking players on and he’s got good delivery, he just needs to add more goals.
“Maybe Everton are being very clever as well knowing that they’ve got an asset but he’s so young, he’s 21, that he’s going to be up and down with his form.
“They know if they get him signed up to a new contract and he has a good season they can get the £70million or £60million for him still.
“I think it suits both the player and the club, a new contract.
“I just think Gordon has got to start scoring more goals.”

Gordon has scored three times in 14 Premier League games this season and was dropped to the bench for their last two games before the break.
The England youth international now has 10 goal contributions in 63 top-flight games for the Toffees.
In other news, Everton have agreed a big-money player deal after an offer is accepted.
