Agbonlahor: Harry Maguire is being ‘bullied’ at Man United after ‘unbelievable’ BBC reveal
Man United captain Harry Maguire is being “bullied” by his critics, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England forward insisted Maguire deserves the “most credit” for continuing to turn up despite the constant criticism.
Luke Shaw told the BBC on Monday (26 September) that his club and international teammate was taking more criticism than he had ever seen before in football.

The 27-year-old insisted Maguire is an “unbelievable” player and an “amazing” character.
“For me, against Germany, I thought he played well even though he made a mistake for the penalty,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“Defenders are going to make mistakes. He’s not the first and he will not be the last England defender to give away a penalty.
“Until that, he looked confident on the ball, he was winning his duels, he was winning his headers.
“A lot of people would have been happy that he gave away a penalty. People want an excuse to get at Harry Maguire.
“I actually feel sorry for him. Weaker men would have stopped turning up for England duty. He’s not, he’s stayed there, continued to fight for his place and put his body on the line for his country.
“I’ve got to give him the most credit. I just hope that Gareth Southgate keeps faith in him.

“Yes, he’s not been in his best form but let’s not forget that he’s not been playing recently so he’s going to be rusty.
“I actually feel sorry for him and it’s come to the stage of bullying now by a lot of people. They need to give the guy a break.”
In other news, Man United have set their sights on signing an Aston Villa star and £45million will seal the deal.
