Agbonlahor hits out as Steven Gerrard fumes at Aston Villa controversy
Aston Villa can have no complaints about the goal they conceded in their 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest on Monday night (10 October), according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Aston Villa’s record Premier League goalscorer insisted Nottingham Forest deserved the free-kick that led to the goal.
As shown on the Sky Sports highlights, Tyrone Mings came together with Emmanuel Dennis on the edge of the Aston Villa penalty area and Forest were awarded a free-kick.

Morgan Gibbs-White then put the ball into the box and Dennis headed in after being left unmarked.
Steven Gerrard told Sky Sports after the game that Anthony Taylor got the decision “wrong” and Mings’ initial challenge was not a foul.
“I thought it was a free-kick,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“If you look at it closely, Tyrone Mings’ hand goes on the head of Dennis. It goes on the head of him. It was a foul for me.
“It doesn’t really matter, foul or no foul, because you’ve got to defend the cross.
“It doesn’t matter if it’s a foul because players are going to get crosses in. You’ve got to defend better, you’ve got to pick your man up and make sure he doesn’t get in front of you. That was poor.”

The draw leaves Aston Villa unbeaten in their last four Premier League games but fans are calling for Gerrard to be sacked.
The Midlands giants are next in action on Sunday (16 October) when they host Chelsea at Villa Park.
In other news, Aston Villa have a “Callum Wilson in their ranks” as an “amazing” claim is issued.
