Agbonlahor issues ‘£100m’ Leicester City claim after ‘disgraceful’ Brendan Rodgers sack reveal
Leicester City cannot afford to sack Brendan Rodgers, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker suggested Leicester will only sack Rodgers if they are at risk of losing “£100million” by being relegated from the Premier League.
The Foxes are currently second from bottom of the table and have only won once in their opening 10 Premier League games.

The Telegraph reported on Sunday (16 October) that Rodgers stormed out of a press conference when it was claimed he earns £10million-a-year.
The 49-year-old insisted it was “disgraceful” to suggest that was stopping the club from sacking him.
“I really think that the £20million it has been talked about that it will cost to sack him is the only reason he’s still there,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“It’s not about giving him time. Leicester should not be where they are with the squad that they have.
“He’s still there because of the money, that’s it, there’s no other reason.
“It wouldn’t surprise me if he’s there for the whole season, to be honest, because they don’t want to pay £20million. I think Brendan Rodgers is there for the whole season.
“It will come to a stage where they are going to have to make a choice. Sack him and pay £20million or keep him and lose £100million by being relegated.
“It’s not a position where you would expect a football club to be in. In the Premier League, clubs should be able to afford to sack their manager.

“Maybe it’s more fool Leicester for giving him such a big contract.
“If you’re Brendan Rodgers, you’re thinking ‘I’m not going anywhere. Sack me if you want, I want my money’.”
