Agbonlahor issues emphatic West Ham claim after major reveal in last 24 hours
Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed West Ham will have to settle for a seventh-place finish this season.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker delivered his verdict after Michail Antonio admitted the club are struggling.
He told Match of the Day on Sunday (26 December) that they were suffering “mental fatigue” after a downturn in form.

Their 3-2 defeat to Southampton which prompted Antonio’s admission meant they were on a run of four Premier League games without a win.
That was ended with a 4-1 win over strugglers Watford yesterday (28 December).
As quoted by football.london after the game, David Moyes insisted he still wanted to see more from his side.
“For me, I really like West Ham as a club and everything about them,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“But this might be a bit of a reality check for some of their fans in the sense that top four is not going to happen. They were flirting with it for the first 10 or 11 games but they’ve not got the squad depth.
“Their defence has been decimated and they’ve struggled. They’re conceding too many goals and Antonio hasn’t been scoring the goals. They need investment in January.
“But even with investment West Ham will finish seventh this season, there are six better teams than them, the top three and Spurs, Arsenal and Man United.

“West Ham fans will understand that because those six clubs have got better squads than them.
“West Ham are not overachieving or underachieving, they are probably achieving what they should.”
In other news, Moyes will be ‘angry’ after a West Ham development ‘could stop them getting into Europe’.
