Agbonlahor issues Liverpool ‘disaster’ claim amid ‘big’ Luis Diaz reveal
It will be a “disaster” if Liverpool do not make the top four so Luis Diaz’s return to fitness is a “big boost”, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker insisted “Liverpool need every boost possible” ahead of their return to Premier League action.
Sources told Football Insider last month (27 November) that Diaz is ahead of schedule in his recovery from a knee injury and is in contention to feature when domestic football restarts.

The 25-year-old has travelled to Dubai with the rest of his teammates for their mid-season training camp.
He has not featured for the Reds since he was forced off with a knee injury during their 3-2 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates on 9 October.
“I think Liverpool need every boost possible,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider corespondent Connor Whitley.
“I look at them and they really need to start on fire. They play Aston Villa away in their first game and that’s a must-win.
“If they leave it four, five or six games they are going to end up missing out on the top four and that’s a disaster.
“Getting Diaz back fit and getting everyone back fit is going to be a big boost for Klopp.”

Diaz scored four goals and provided a three further assist in 11 appearances across all competitions this season before his injury.
Liverpool face Man City in the League Cup later this month (22 December) before their visit to Villa Park on Boxing Day.
In other news, Kieran Maguire has claimed a “huge” Liverpool deal is on cards amid the latest from India and it “opens so many doors”.
