Agbonlahor issues ‘massive’ sack ultimatum at West Ham amid ‘toxic’ David Moyes latest

Gabby Agbonlahor has insisted David Moyes is in danger at West Ham and will face a “toxic atmosphereif he oversees another loss against Brentford on Friday (30 December).

The former Aston Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed “the table doesn’t look good” for the 59-year-old.

West Ham fell to a 3-1 away defeat in their return to Premier League action on Monday (26 December) – meaning they remain just one point above the relegation zone.

The Irons now face Brentford, Leeds United, and Wolves in their next three top-flight fixtures.

Sources told Football Insider on 6 December that there is tension between Moyes and David Sullivan over the transfer policy for January and that has led to new question marks internally over the manager’s job.

West Ham have failed to kick on in the Premier League despite spending a reported £160million on new arrivals in the summer window.

When asked if Moyes is in imminent danger at the London Stadium, Agbonlahor told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “I think so.

“If you look at the home game against Brentford, it’s massive.

“I think the home fans are going to create a very toxic atmosphere for Moyes if Brentford take the lead, or if they lose that game.

West Ham

“West Ham have got to win that game, and Moyes needs big results soon. The table doesn’t look good.

“They’ve been very poor and they need to improve a lot.”
