Agbonlahor: Jesus and Laporte will be 'insulted' after Tottenham transfer update
Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed there is no chance Gabriel Jesus or Aymeric Laporte would join Tottenham in a part-exchange deal for Harry Kane.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England forward insisted Spurs would only sell Kane for at least £100million and not for a player-plus-cash deal.
The Athletic reported on 22 June Laporte and Jesus are among five players City are willing to offer as a makeweight for a deal for the England captain.
The Premier League champions have already had a £100million bid rejected for Kane.
Football Insider exclusively revealed at the beginning of April the 27-year-old had told friends he wants to quit his boyhood club this summer.
“I think Laporte and Jesus would be good options for Spurs,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“But it’s alright saying you want to use players as part of the transfer, but would these players want to go? There’s no chance that Laporte and Jesus would go to Spurs. They would say ‘Don’t you dare insult me.’
“That’s just a non-starter for me. Man City have lost Aguero, even if they bring in Kane they’re going to need another striker anyway.
“It’s nonsense. Laporte would be the third-choice centre-half at Man City, he’s better than Nathan Ake.
“If they do get Harry Kane it will be for the whole £100million-plus that Daniel Levy wants.”
Laporte and Jesus played a combined 69 games across all competitions last season but neither were regular starters.
John Stones and Ruben Dias was Pep Guardiola’s first-choice centre-back pairing while Jesus often found himself on the bench as City played a false nine.
