Agbonlahor makes ‘big’ Mauricio Pochettino claim after West Ham source’s Moyes sack update
Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed the West Ham job could be a “good project” for Mauricio Pochettino as David Moyes inches towards the sack.
The former Aston Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the 50-year-old Argentine will not be in contention for any of the “top jobs” in the Premier League.
Sources told this site on Thursday (23 February) that Pochettino would be “keen” on succeeding Moyes at West Ham.

According to The Times (20 February), the Scotsman could be sacked this weekend if his side lose to Nottingham Forest on Saturday (25 February).
Pochettino was sacked by Paris Saint-Germain in July 2022 despite winning the Ligue 1 title with the French giants.
The former Southampton and Tottenham boss has won over 50% of his 256 games as a Premier League manager and led Spurs to a Champions League final in 2019.
West Ham sit 18th in the top flight – one point from safety.
Agbonlahor told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “I think it depends on what Pochettino is waiting for.
“He’s not going to get any of the top jobs, in my opinion. Liverpool, Man City, Man United, Chelsea, Newcastle – they’re all off the table.
“I don’t think they’ll look at him. He’s been out of the Premier League for too long.
“He may have to look further down the table to get back into this league.

“West Ham are a big club with big expectations. If he keeps them up, gets some money to spend – he could do some good things with them.
“I think West Ham would be a good project for him if he’s keen to come back to England.”
