Agbonlahor makes bold West Brom prediction amid ‘massive’ reveal
Gabby Agbonlahor is adamant West Brom will return to the Premier League at the first time of asking following a 2-1 win over Blackburn Rovers.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Aston Villa and England striker claimed promotion “is a formality” given Albion’s squad and manager.
West Brom maintained their unbeaten start to the season on Saturday with a narrow win over Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.
As quoted by the Express & Star (21st August), Baggies boss Valerien Ismael hailed the result “massive” and drew particular attention to his players’ mentality.
Albion have now won three games on the bounce and only Fulham are ahead of them in the Championship table.
When asked by Football Insider‘s Connor Whitley for his assessment of West Brom’s promotion chances, Agbonlahor said: “I think it is a formality.
“I’m sure West Brom and Fulham will go up this season. I think they will finish in the top two because their squads are very strong.
“They both have great managers as well so I can see both of them returning to the Premier League straight away.”

Speaking after Saturday’s win, Ismael said: “The mentality and the togetherness we’ve shown already will be massive in the season.
“We work hard together, it’s not about the name, it’s about the work ethic we put into training. This is our reward. This is a massive win with the right attitude from us.”
